Spacious suite with amazing bed
We spent a night in a junior suite, and wow, that 7ft bed was something else! Staff were super friendly, even when our room wasn’t ready right away. Lunch was tasty but the wine should've been chilled. The spa was a bit underwhelming, though, with a cold hydrotherapy pool. Would still love to come back, great stay!

Noise levels after 11pm can be bothersome, particularly in rooms like 102, where views come with the downside of late-night disturbances. The breakfast room lacks energy, resembling more of a cafeteria vibe, which diminished the dining experience. alternatives nearby are more inviting. The pool area feels cramped and becomes uncomfortably warm quickly, making relaxation a bit of a challenge. Daily housekeeping starts knocking at 9am, which might throw off the leisurely vibe many guests desire. Lastly, certain amenities, like slow Wi-Fi and a small shower head, left room for improvement.

Breakfast was a proper treat—lovely spread that set us up for a day of exploring. Plus, the dinners were simply top-notch, Michelin-worthy dishes that had us drooling! And let’s not forget the fantastic gluten-free options at the restaurant.
The lobby bar was a ghost town more often than not, and we ran into a few snags with the reception that left us feeling a bit off. The room could've used an extra mirror for getting ready, too!

The location of The Daffodil is fantastic, just a short walk from the beautiful Grasmere village. The building itself is lovely, blending well with the surroundings. My room was spacious and comfortable, offering a lovely view of the valley. The bed? Absolutely plush. I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud every night. The breakfast spread was impressive, with lots of options to choose from, and the quality of the food was top-notch. I enjoyed every meal I had in the restaurant, especially the local dishes. The staff generally provided friendly service but some seemed overwhelmed during busy times, affecting the overall atmosphere. I noticed the spa area was relaxing, although small, and it got quite noisy with the jets in the pool constantly running, making it difficult to unwind fully. Housekeeping also needed a bit more coordination. on a few mornings, I felt rushed when they knocked at 9 AM. I think some improvements in the service flow and room prep could really enhance the experience.

Enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea during our stay, beautifully presented and delicious. The staff excelled in service, creating an inviting atmosphere. Make sure to indulge in cocktails for a perfect treat. Just be cautious in the car park – it can get slippery in winter!
